If You’ve Done Everything Right and Still Can’t Lose Weight — Your Biology Needs a Clinical Answer

Our weight loss program combines GLP-1 weight loss injections with a detailed metabolic evaluation to help you identify biological barriers, break through plateaus, and maintain your goal weight sustainably.

When people search for a weight loss clinic, it’s rarely just about the number on the scale.

They want their energy back. Their spark. Their confidence.

But if you’re like most of our patients, your body just isn’t responding the way it used to.

You’re doing everything “right,” and still not seeing the progress you were promised.

You’ve tried everything, but nothing works for long.

maybe you have…

  • Cut carbs
  • Added steps.
  • Weighed food, counted calories, and tracked macros.
  • Tried weight loss injections like semaglutide or tirzepatide.
  • Have lost some weight… but always gain it right back.

“I can’t lose weight no matter what I do.”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Most of our patients came to us feeling this exact same way.

Most of our patients were struggling with the exact same issues:

Weight Loss Injections Can Help

What are semaglutide and tirzepatide?

GLP-1 medications, like semaglutide and tirzepatide, are designed to help regulate appetite, stabilize blood sugar, and support weight loss by mimicking natural hormones that help you feel full longer.

At Evolution Health, we often prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications: a safe, effective, and more affordable alternative to the name brands.

While compounded medications are not FDA-approved, they are legally prescribed by licensed providers and made in FDA-registered 503A compounding pharmacies.

Each dose is carefully calibrated to your body, your goals, and your progress.

For many people struggling to lose weight, GLP-1s can be life-changing…

But for many of our patients, GLP-1s weren’t enough on their own.

Some patients come to us after trying semaglutide or tirzepatide through a telehealth provider or big box clinic.

Most made some progress but plateaued. Some made no progress at all. Nearly all of them gained back the weight they did manage to lose.

When you reach this point, you may start wondering if something deeper is going on in your body.

You’re probably right.

Here’s what’s really happening

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are powerful medications for weight loss.

But in our experience, the majority of patients who could benefit most from these GLP-1 medications are also suffering from underlying metabolic barriers that prevent them from working properly.

The two biggest culprits? Insulin resistance and thyroid dysfunction.

Insulin Resistance and Weight Loss

When your cells stop responding to insulin, your blood sugar stays high. This makes it harder to burn fat, causes weight gain around the midsection, and makes your body more resistant to GLP-1 medications.

Thyroid Weight Loss Challenges

Low thyroid function slows your metabolism and drains your energy. Even if your basic thyroid labs are “normal,” deeper testing often reveals underlying issues. When we address thyroid challenges directly, the weight starts coming off quickly and consistently.

Most providers aren’t looking at these details. We are.

We’re not here to sell you a prescription and rush you out the door.

We’re here to help you understand what’s happening in your body and finally do something about it.

You can lose the weight — for real this time

“I ended up losing approximately 40 lbs. Thankfully, I did not have any side effects other than being tired the first two days after an injection.

I had to take minimal doses and still lost weight.

I feel great physically as well as emotionally. Just not carrying around that extra weight allows me to move more freely.

I wish everyone could have such a positive experience as I have had. The support from Deb, Ellen and staff has been tremendous.

I am now weaning off of Tirzepatide and feel confident with watching my protein intake and exercising, along with Deb’s support, I will keep the weight off.”

Frequently Asked Questions

You’re not alone. Many of our patients come to us saying, “I can’t lose weight no matter what I do.” Their struggles are rarely a matter of simply lacking discipline or motivation. In fact, most are highly disciplined and are simply not seeing the results they should be.

This happens because they are swimming upstream, working against underlying metabolic factors that are limiting their progress. That’s exactly why we start with labs and a full health history, so we can uncover the real reason your body refuses to keep the weight off. Our deep dive into hormones, thyroid, and metabolic markers helps uncover what’s been holding you back.

Once we address your underlying metabolic conditions, you may finally see improved weight loss with the assistance of GLP-1 medication.

Yes, we work with a lot of people in that exact situation. GLP-1 medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide can help with weight loss, but they’re not always enough on their own. If your provider didn’t look at things like your thyroid function, insulin resistance, or overall metabolic health, then it’s possible the medication was working against unresolved issues.

We run full lab work to figure out what’s actually going on under the surface, because if something like insulin resistance is driving your weight gain, then simply taking a GLP-1 might not be enough to see results. We also look at dosing, timing, and side effects to make sure the medication is being used correctly.

So yes, if GLP-1s didn’t work for you before, that doesn’t mean they never will. It just means there’s more to look into: and that’s exactly what we do.

Insulin resistance is one of the most common metabolic barriers to sustainable weight loss. We test for this in your initial lab panel and use your results to create a plan that addresses blood sugar, appetite regulation, and long-term fat loss.

Yes. “Thyroid weight loss” struggles are real, and also frequently missed by providers who only run basic labs. We look deeper to identify underactive thyroid function that may be contributing to your stalled progress.

Absolutely. Many of our patients are dealing with what’s often called hormone weight loss resistance: when shifting estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone levels make it harder to lose weight, no matter what you try. We test for these imbalances as part of your evaluation and offer treatment options when hormones are part of the issue.

Whether or not weight loss is your main goal, we also offer hormone therapy for women and hormone therapy for men to help restore balance, improve energy, and support long-term health.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist medication that helps regulate appetite, improve insulin response, and slow gastric emptying, which helps you feel full longer. Evolution Health only uses compounded semaglutide, which is not the same as name-brand versions (like Wegovy® or Ozempic®) and is not FDA-approved. However, many patients experience excellent results with this more accessible alternative. We prescribe compounded semaglutide only when appropriate as part of a personalized, medically supervised program.

Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist medication that reduces appetite and supports blood sugar regulation. Like semaglutide, we offer a compounded version, which is not the same as name brands (like Mounjaro® or Zepbound®) and is not FDA-approved. Our providers tailor your dosage to maximize safety and results. We prescribe compounded tirzepatide only when appropriate as part of a personalized, medically supervised program.

Weight loss progress is highly individualized. Some patients begin seeing results within weeks, while others take longer depending on their metabolic health, hormone levels, and overall goals. If you’re consistent with your plan, most people see sustainable results in 6-9 months. As we near your goal weight, we shift into maintenance planning to help you sustain your results.

You can, but we’ve had many patients come to us after doing just that. Typically, they lost a little weight, plateaued, then gained it all back. The difference with Evolution Health’s approach is that we identify and treat the underlying issues that block lasting progress. Our care is comprehensive, medically supervised, and designed for real results that last.

Your initial consultation is $450.00, which includes a full lab panel (hormone, inflammation, insulin, and thyroid markers) and a 60-minute visit with your provider. Most patients start their personalized GLP-1 program that same day. Because your medication and program plan are tailored to your labs and goals, your provider will go over exact program pricing with you during your consultation, so you always know exactly what’s included and what to expect.
